Our 6 year old son is such a funny kid. He doesn’t end up giving us excuses every time I give him food that he doesn’t like. Meal time is such a huge disaster for both of us since then, but I am grateful that he is getting there liking the food that I give him. A little kind of improvement is such a great factor for me. Three times of introducing new food to him is not enough before he will start liking to eat it.  In fact, in some food I spent years already but he still doesn’t like eating it, just example the egg. He hates egg so much. Isn’t that hilarious? Well, no matter how pushy I was for him to gain affection over a certain food if he really doesn’t feel it, he will end up throwing up afterwards. I used my tricks, threats, and bribed him which is not a good thing I know that, but if that’s the only way to let him eat I’ll do it. I will not let him just skip a meal. As a mom it takes a lot of patience for us to deal with a picky eater kid like our son. Lately I dealt with the banana issue. My daughter likes to eat banana, even it’s a little bit green she will eat it, she doesn’t care. But our son is so opposite, no matter what its color and how  I prepare it he will still give me a big NO!  Sometimes instead of getting mad or depress because of his eating habit I will just find myself laughing at the back because of his reasons. One conversation was like this below while preparing for breakfast.

Me says: Daniel I’ll put a banana in your oatmeal huh?

Son: No! I don’t like banana. If you will put it I will not eat it!

Me: But is is good for you. Good for the body.

Son: No! Please don’t put banana on my food.

Me: Why you don’t like a banana Daniel?

Son: Because I don’t know how to eat a banana! Please help me how to eat a banana mommy (in a sweet voice asking for a help)

Me: (Surprised and laughing inside) You just put it in your mouth and chew it like the other food.

Son: No I will not chew it, it is yucky! Yuck!

Me: Quiet and didn’t bother to talk anymore.

Conversing with a 6 year old kid is truly fun, however so irritating sometimes especially that you know it will lead to different directions.
